With the war raging throughout Ukraine, thousands of families have been pushed out of their homes including children of all ages. Our organization is determined to help children who lost their homes to lead as normal a life as possible.
What we do
We conduct soccer workshops for youth ages 5-14 that are free for refugees and donation-based for local families. Our workshops provide an opportunity for refugee children to become involved and feel welcome in the local community, to receive free soccer instruction and engage in a sport activity, and to experience a sense of normalcy. The workshops are led by advanced high school varsity soccer players. The participants are also provided with lunch and water. The funds that we raise from the donations go directly towards helping Ukraine - for example, we helped build a soccer field at the Cheburashka orphanage in Rokitnoe, Ukraine, 60 miles from Kiev - and also towards refugee relief funds.
